This course focuses on an analysis of societal and public health principles of illness and wellness. Content includes a review of current evidence for assessing physiological, psychosocial, cognitive, and behavioral concepts, healthcare trends, and the implications on occupational engagement and occupational therapy practice. The importance of health, access to care, and the impact of disease and illness are investigated, and healthcare trends and public health needs are evaluated.
